This institute is designed for teachers who are fresh out of college or teachers who are transitioning to a new career path. Teachers will learn actionable strategies for classroom management and differentiating instruction. They will learn how to meet all their students' needs without feeling overwhelmed. They will learn techniques to teach their students to be independent thinkers and problem solvers. They will learn multiple strategies to be successful in their roles and leave feeling empowered!
After participating in this New Teacher Institute, teachers will have the tools necessary for a long and successful career in teaching. They will feel like heroes, change agents, and the glue that holds the educational system together.
The I Am Somebody! program is a positive affirmation program that builds students' self-esteem and creates a culture of respect. The program helps to create a climate where students feel they can conquer the world. School wide participation in this program creates a positive learning environment that fosters academic achievement in students and social-emotional well-being for teachers.
The program includes weekly affirmations and lessons for grades K-12. It also includes individual, partner, and small group interactive lessons. Implementation guides and resources are available for educators and school leaders. Participating in this program teaches students to take ownership and pride in their behavior.
The POWER plan has SIX solutions that will improve student achievement and help teachers to stay in the field of education.
The solutions are outlined are below:
