Mother, wife, and mentor, Dr. Angela Taylor-Eccles is passionate about providing superintendents and principals with strategies to stop “The Great Resignation” of teachers. With a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Marygrove College, a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Marygrove College, an Education Specialist degree from Liberty University, and Doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Capella University, Dr. Angela encourages teachers to follow their passions.
During her period as Principal, she discovered teachers leaving their professions at a rapid rate. By uncovering the factors that resulted in the short retention rates, Dr.Angela became part of the solution. After compiling extensive research and publishing The Disruption of Miseducation “It is not the Teachers,” she now provides turnaround strategies to superintendents and school leaders to halt The Great Resignation of teachers in America by helping to remedy teacher resignations.
In June 2021, she retired from public education to focus on helping teachers remain in the education field. As an educational consultant and retired principal who has experienced massive teacher shortages, Dr.Angela believes that sharing her insight will encourage administrators to offer solutions for teachers. Her goal is to help stop this great resignation because if teachers continue to leave the field of education, there won't be any teachers left to teach the children. She recognizes that it's not the teacher's fault. It is the system, and her goal is to impact that system.
